These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Raiford Movers’ services, including moving, packing, storage, and any related services provided by us. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our services.

2. Services Provided

Raiford Movers offers moving services for residential and commercial properties, including but not limited to local moving, long-distance moving, commercial moving, residential moving, and moving and storage. Specific details of the services you choose will be outlined in the service agreement.

3. Booking and Payment

  1. Booking:
    To book services, customers must provide necessary details, including the moving date, location, and size of the move.

  2. Payment:
    Full payment or a deposit may be required before the moving date, depending on the type of service. We accept payments via credit card, debit card, bank transfer, and other payment methods available at the time of booking.

  3. Price Estimates:
    The pricing for services is based on the details provided by the customer. Raiford Movers will offer an estimated price for moving services. Any additional charges incurred during the move (such as overtime fees or additional services) will be added to the final invoice.

  4. Cancellations and Rescheduling:
    If you wish to cancel or reschedule your move, you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling made after this period may incur cancellation fees.

4. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for the following:

  1. Accurate Information:
    Providing us with accurate details about the move, including the number of items, floor levels, and special handling instructions.

  2. Preparation for Moving:
    Ensuring that all items to be moved are packed securely and ready for transport. We are not responsible for any damage caused by improper packing.

  3. Access and Parking:
    Ensuring that the moving crew has safe and unobstructed access to your property and that there is adequate parking available for our moving trucks.

  4. Valuables and Fragile Items:
    If you have valuable or fragile items, you must inform us in advance. We may request that these items be packed by professionals or that you assume responsibility for any damage that may occur during transport.

5. Our Responsibilities

  1. Providing Services:
    We will provide moving and storage services as outlined in your agreement. Our team will perform these services with care and professionalism.

  2. Insurance:
    Raiford Movers provides basic liability coverage for the moving process, covering potential damage during transportation. However, for more comprehensive coverage, we recommend that you purchase additional insurance.

  3. Timeliness:
    We aim to meet scheduled times for pickups and deliveries. However, factors such as traffic, weather, or unforeseen delays may affect the timing of services. We will notify you promptly of any delays.

6. Damages and Liability

  1. Liability for Damage:
    Raiford Movers is not responsible for any damage to items that are not properly packed or for damages that occur due to customer negligence. We are also not liable for damages to items that are not listed in the service agreement.

  2. Claims Process:
    If any damage occurs during the move, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery. We will review the claim and determine if compensation is warranted based on the type and extent of the damage.

7. Storage Terms

  1. Storage Fees:
    If you opt for our storage services, fees will be based on the size of the storage unit and the duration of storage. You must make payments on time to avoid penalties.

  2. Access to Stored Items:
    You can access your stored items during business hours. If you need to retrieve items outside of normal hours, prior arrangements must be made.

  3. Security and Liability:
    While we provide secure and climate-controlled storage, we are not liable for the loss, theft, or damage to items left in storage, except in cases of negligence on our part. We recommend purchasing insurance for items in storage.

8. Insurance

  1. Basic Liability Coverage:
    Raiford Movers offers limited liability coverage for your move. This basic coverage will reimburse you for the damages incurred during the moving process, up to a specified amount.

  2. Additional Insurance:
    For more comprehensive protection, we recommend purchasing additional insurance, which can be discussed and arranged with our team before the move.

9. Prohibited Items

There are certain items that Raiford Movers cannot move due to legal and safety reasons. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Hazardous materials (e.g., explosives, flammable items, chemicals)
  • Perishable goods
  • Live plants and animals
  • Firearms or weapons

Please inform us of any such items before the move to avoid delays.

10. Privacy Policy

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. All customer data collected during the booking process is used solely for the purpose of providing moving services. We do not share your information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

11. Modifications to Terms

Raiford Movers reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically to stay informed about any updates.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Florida.
